Major Initiative: Hathigaon Goes Plastic-Free Under the Leadership of ACF Prachi Chaudhary

Large-scale plastic removal and assured recycling highlight administrative leadership and community participation in environmental protection.

Jaipur / Hathigaon: 20 Fabruary 2026, In a significant step toward environmental protection and sustainable community development, a large-scale “Plastic-Free Campaign” was successfully conducted today in Hathigaon under the leadership of Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) Prachi Chaudhary. The initiative aimed not only to remove plastic waste from the village but also to build long-term awareness about the harmful impact of plastic pollution on ecosystems and wildlife.

The campaign witnessed active participation from forest officials, volunteers, and local residents, who collectively cleaned every corner of the village — including streets, open spaces, community areas, and surrounding landscapes. The drive was systematically organized to ensure that plastic waste was collected efficiently and segregated properly for further processing.

One of the most notable aspects of the initiative was its recycling partnership with Bisleri, which has committed to processing and recycling the entire volume of plastic waste collected during the drive. This collaboration ensures that the waste will not re-enter the environment but instead be converted into reusable resources through responsible recycling practices. The model highlights a strong example of coordination between government agencies and private sector partners in addressing environmental challenges.

Range Officer Gaurav Kumar, along with forest department staff, actively participated on the ground, motivating volunteers and overseeing the execution of the campaign. Their presence reinforced the message that environmental protection requires hands-on commitment and collaborative action rather than symbolic gestures.

Speaking on the occasion, ACF Prachi Chaudhary stated, “This is a small but impactful step toward a plastic-free future. When the administration and community work together, environmental protection becomes a shared responsibility rather than a distant goal.”

Experts emphasize that plastic waste not only degrades soil and water quality but also poses severe threats to wildlife, particularly in eco-sensitive regions. Campaigns like this play a vital role in reducing plastic leakage into natural habitats and strengthening local environmental stewardship.

The successful execution of the Hathigaon plastic-free initiative sends a powerful message: meaningful environmental change begins at the grassroots level. By combining community participation, administrative leadership, and corporate responsibility, Hathigaon has set an inspiring example for other regions aiming to combat plastic pollution and promote sustainable living.
